Engineering for reliability from day one
Luka TabidzeMarch 4, 20266 دقيقة قراءة
Reliability is cheapest when it is designed in early and most expensive when it is retrofitted under pressure. We treat it as a constraint from the first commit.
Make failure boring
Timeouts, retries with backoff, idempotent operations and clear health checks turn dramatic outages into non-events. The systems that feel calm in production are the ones that planned for failure.
The goal is not to never fail — it is to fail in ways nobody notices.
Pair that with real observability and rehearsed recovery, and reliability stops being a heroic act and becomes ordinary.
